Announcement
I am sad to inform you that effective next Wednesday, October 30, 2024, I will be resigning at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
I was brought 2 years ago to develop a specialty practice in both arthrogryposis and Prader-Willi syndrome. Due to different bureaucratic and administrative issues, the practice got off to a slow start, and although it has been growing, it has been at a very slow rate. Moreover, the business plan apparently was that my entire practice would be of my specialty conditions, so the hospital brought on two new pediatric orthopaedists in just over a year, fresh out of fellowship, who naturally needed to have their practices supported by a new patient flow. For that reason, I was not seeing enough patients to sustain a practice. Our mutual agreement was that it would be better for us to part ways amicably.
I deeply apologize to my many patients who have come from distances near and far to develop treatment relationships. As a parent myself, I can empathize with how disorienting this will feel. I do hope to establish a new position in the future. Please follow this website for news as it becomes available.
With sincerest regards,
HvB
